Pandora
"Polynesia sometimes reminds me of the planet Pandora..."
Abstracts
... The one from the movie Avatar: Its fauna, its luxuriant flora. The planet Polynesia is also inhabited by beautiful bipeds living in harmony with the nature to which they belong. As in the film, the planet was invaded by very nasty colonists who exploded horrible devastating bombs, but also traversed by kindly visiting aliens, welcomed by the natives with the kindness that has woven their legend.
Reality is more complex than fiction. The Avatar tale, except that it features the eternal white saviour, is however 'replicable' in all the colonial contexts of the lands where the Living is resisting the onslaught of capitalism as best it can.
