Paris-Suburbs

"I produced a portrait of Samira Bellil, author of the book Dans l’enfer des tournantes. Samira then introduced me to the team of Ni putes ni soumises, which she was involved with at the time. Fadela Amara, at the head of the movement, commissioned me to produce a calendar representing the girls and women living in our cities and suburbs, in all their diversity.

So I saw our photo studio filled with a joyful band of vibrant young women of all origins and all social categories. Their energy was contagious. The calendar did not eventuate, but beautiful portraits emerged from this encounter."
