"The island of Tahiti is both the most famous and the least known of the Polynesian islands..."
Abstracts
... It is in fact one of the most beautiful and most virginal! As long as you get away from the traffic jams that block access to its capital Papeete in the morning and evening, where the diktat of the car reigns, combined with the usual ugliness of development. It is on the peninsula that one discovers this virginal beauty, "the real Tahiti" as the residents of the shores bordering Mount Ronui proudly call it, and which are only accessible by boat.
