'Everyone knows Titouan Lamazou, the gadabout who’s sailed all the world’s seas, the multiple record-holder, the peerless champion of the roughest waves, the inventor of maritime challenges, the founder of trophies, the man who advances solo before God – who doesn’t exist… Many also know him as the illustrator, the painter, the photographer, the artist, the activist supporting the cause of women, the man named ‘UNESCO Artist for Peace’ in 2003.
But few are aware that behind the seaman and the artist who is friend to many, we can find remarkable technical work that plays on durations and time, images and virtualness, icons and reality. Modest and discreet, he doesn’t go on about his fabrication secrets at the drop of a hat, but once they’re unveiled, we discover an authentic artist and his vast world.'
